How to build a happy family like the Mannings

Running a family is not much easier than running a company. Even though you are families to each other, you are still different persons from each other. You have different goals, different hobbies, different opinions and different life experiences. As a long time Archie Manning fan, I always admire the Mannings for their family life that stands for love, success and happiness.Get Chitika | Premium

What attracts my attention most is that the Mannings have an active father and supportive mother. Archie Manning, the former New Orleans Saints star quarterback, is always active in all kinds of public activities and services, while his wife, Olivia, is always with him in the Archie Manning jersey to give supports. Archie helps his three sons a lot in their respective careers, and mother is just proud for any tiny achievements made by any of the three sons.

And I believe another key to the Mannings’ happy family is that they are willing to help others. They do not only help each other as family, but also generously offer helps to other peoples in their communities. Helping other people will make you feel fulfilled and sharing such great feeling with your families will improve relationships. So rearrange your schedule and take your family to work for the community for one day, and the same experience of helping others will make your family members love each other more than before.

If you are like me and a fan for the Mannings, you can also read the many articles about the honored family and learn they way to keep a great family happy and successful.

Archie Manning expects Jeremy Shockey to return for minicamp

The New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey has been unavailable since being sent to hospital after scaring his teammates with a sudden seizure. The next day he told reporters that he was fine and would not missing too much of team’s offseason program. Saints former quarterback Archie Manning recently expressed his concern about the young man but he was confident that Shockey would be able to take part in this weekend’s minicamp.

Manning said that he understood Shockey’s eagerness to get back into work but advised that he should not work too hard on the first day of returning to practice. Being asked about his opinion on the health condition of Shockey, who also passed out last offseason because of dehydration during a party, Manning smiled and said that that was fine with young man like Shockey. Shockey is a dynamic player and is always passionate with life and the game. Archie said he hoped the young man to improve communication with his own body first before forcing it back into working mode.

Archie Manning also expressed his confidence in Saints’ new season, predicting that the team is very hopefully to make it into playoffs. He said that he was ready to order an Archie Manning jersey with Super Bowl XLV patch for the celebration.

Archie Manning expects Colts to win Super Bowl XLV

Being always a supporter to his sons, former New Orleans Saints quarterback Archie Manning was as excited and happy as any other Saints fans when his former team won the Super Bowl XLIV, although he previously rooted for his second son Peyton Manning’s team, the Indianapolis Colts.

Recently, Archie Manning said that he does not regret for Colts’ Super Bowl loss just as he would not regret either if it was the Saints who lost the game. The great father also said that he still expected the Colts to make appearance in Super Bowl XLV game and Peyton to bring home another Super Bowl ring. He even plans to customize a Colts style of Archie Manning jersey with Super Bowl XLV patch as preparation for the celebration. Now Peyton Manning has one more motivation to win more games this season as father is looking at him.

Talking about Saints’ chance to repeat Super Bowl victory, Archie Manning said he wished his former team to win but he still rooted for his son’s team. What if the two teams rematch in the Super Bowl game? “Oh, I don’t see that is highly possible to happy,” said Archie Manning. “But if they do, that’s a good chance for both teams.”

Archie Manning does not mind being underachiever in family

Being the father of two current star quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning, Archie Manning himself was also once a star quarterback with the New Orleans Saints but never made as great achievements as his sons’, to be exactly, winning a Super Bowl game with any team he used to play for.

As the No. 2 overall pick in the 1971 draft, Archie Manning spent eleven seasons of his NFL career with the Saints and the last two respectively with the Houston Oilers and Minnesota Vikings, which was beaten by Archie’s home team Saints in the NFC championship competition game. The Saints won their first Super Bowl championship following the 2009 season with Drew Brees being the starting quarterback. Archie could feel regretful that it never happened during the years when he was the team’s starting quarterback. But people still remembered what he contributed to the team and shoed great respects for the former star quarterback in New Orleans. No. 8 throwback Archie Manning jersey could be seen here or there in celebrating crowds in No. 9 Drew Brees jersey.

By comparison, both Peyton and Eli were number one overall draft pick when they were entering NFL. Peyton led the Indianapolis Colts to a 29-17 Super Bowl XLI victory over the Chicago Bears in 2007 and Super Bowl XLIV appearance in 2010 against his father’s old team Saints, and Eli led the Giants to Super Bowl XLII win against the New England Patriots in 2008. Thus Archie Manning becomes the only former NFL quarterback without a Super Bowl ring, but that has never made Archie feel bad as he has never been considered to be less great than his sons. Actually he was a better college quarterback than either Peyton or Eli and is the greatest father ever in football world. When the Saints were going to play against the Colts for a Super Bowl title, he did not hesitate to show support for his son instead of his old team, and when the Saints won the historic game, he was just as happy as any true Saints fans.
